At Tree of Life Christian Academy Preschool, we’ve combined two curriculums that provide our students with a higher level of education, offering a well-rounded learning experience that nurtures academic, social, and personal growth. Our literacy program builds strong reading and phonics skills through a systematic approach that includes:  

• Recognizing short vowels, consonants, and their sounds.  
• Learning to blend and pronounce one-vowel and two-vowel words.  
• Mastering 132 special phonics sounds in an engaging and interactive way.  
• Developing proficiency in reading through accuracy, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.  

We incorporate an active learning approach, where children engage directly with their environment, allowing them to “construct” their knowledge through exploration and discovery. This is achieved through:  

• Adult-Child Interaction: Teachers act as partners, working alongside children to foster verbal and nonverbal communication.  
• Learning Environment: Classrooms are thoughtfully arranged to encourage independence and goal-oriented learning.  
• Daily Routine: A structured and consistent schedule offers a balanced mix of activities that promote learning and engagement.  
• Assessment: Teachers conduct regular observations to tailor the learning experience and ensure developmental progress.
